Could Tom Hardy Play Det. Harvey Bullock In The Dark Knight Rises?

CinimaBlend: "This morning's big news eliminated The Riddler from contention in Christopher Nolan's Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises, but has only managed to make people more curious about who the film's main baddie will be. Killer Croc? Black Mask? Clay Face? Whoever the character is, most expect that the role will be played by Tom Hardy, who was mysteriously cast in the film two weeks ago to the day. The main challenge is figuring out the perfect bad guy that can both fit into Nolan's hyper-real universe and follow the plotline created at the end of The Dark Knight. IMDb may have a possible answer."

Should be Rumor
I would still classify this as a rumor and let people weigh in on it.

Hmmm....it does sound plausible but I'm still hoping for another super villain. I know since he's on the run, this type of story might be more ideal and realistic, but I can't help it. I want to see some big main villain come in for this final (more than likely) Nolan Batman film.

Would be great to have another super villain, I think for those who aren't Batman fans and watched the Dark Knight, and enjoyed Heath Ledgers performance, will find the 3rd one boring if there is no eccentric super villain and just the mob or a corrupt detective.

Having said that Tom Hardy is a great actor and I hope he pulls off whatever role he is given. I would love to see Hush but no point wishing, Nolan will tell us when he wants to.

I will watch it regardless of who the villain is whether it is a well known or eccentric one or just a corrupt detective, but I have a feeling there will be a super villain.

Here's what I don't get...where is all this "Tom Hardy CONFIRMED" talk coming from? As far as I can tell, all roads lead back to the Deadline story. However, Deadline never confirmed it. They merely said that some insider they knew close to the project had said Hardy's name was thrown into the mix and he was possibly going to be offered the lead role. That sounds like nothing but rumor to me.

Hell not long ago it was "confirmed" that The Riddler was on the casting grid with Gordon-Levitt's name beside him. We all know how that turned out. I'm still holding reservations about Hardy even being in the film.

You know, I was thinking that myself. I've still yet to hear that he's confirmed. The only thing I've heard is that he's rumored to be in talks. I think all the Nolan announcement proved is that we (and the internet) have no actual idea what he's up to. Until it comes out of his mouth now, I don't take anything as confirmed.

Nolan always keeps cards close to his chest, it was months before much info was told about Inception. People who expect this villain or actor/actress to be in this film will be disappointed. We shouldn't make speculations and get our hopes up, I am sure it will a fantastic film.
