A trailer for the upcoming exorcism movie ‘The Rite’ is out, and it does little to excite, offering what looks to be another re-hashed telling of a familiar story.The Rite will hit theaters on January 28, 2011
Hmmm....I thought we already had this trailer on the site...Oh yeah that was the Scream Award trailer (I think it's the same though). Anyway, I'm not digging this film, but Hopkins is always worth watching. I just don't see the need for another one in this genre.
It's a good genre but at this point there's no real way to take it forward. It's a pretty narrow theme, and the most extreme has already been handled. Story really has to set it apart here.
