JPP - Movies in the “portrait-of-a-killer” category have it tough; telling a murder mystery of sorts from the viewpoint of the killer can't be an easy feat. If the audience isn't going to like or root for the lead character, then all that's really left is to understand why the killer came to be how he or she is.

I watched this last night actually. I actually enjoyed the movie. It's some very in-your-face violence, can be a bit graphic too. But I don't think it was to the point that it was just done for shock value or anything. Casey did an excellent job in this movie I think. Not film of the year or anything, but definitely a decent watch.
