Deadline: After a hard fought auction that included Sony and Paramount and Universal and Summit, Twentieth Century Fox has emerged the victor for the hottest project in Hollywood right now: the live-action adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith macabre novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter with director Timur Bekmambetov and producer Tim Burton who used their own money to option the book earlier this year.
Final Destination is a reminder of our mortality.
‘It Follows’ still lurks.
The Parenting Review: It starts off as a fun horror-comedy with a great cast, but loses its charm halfway through. The laughs fade, the scares feel predictable, and by the end, it’s just another forgettable haunted house story.
Honestly, I'm interested in this. While it's another vampire story based on a book I only found to be OK, I think in film form this could be interesting. It would be nice to see a comedic vampire film that isn't some terrible teenage parody that only relies on sight-gags. With Tim Burton helping behind the scenes I'm willing to give it a shot.
