Liam Neeson has joined the cast of Battleship, the Universal Pictures action adventure which just began filming today under director Peter Berg. Neeson plays Admiral Shane, the Naval officer whose daughter (played by Brooklyn Decker) is engaged to a young naval officer played by Taylor Kitsch. The pics shoots in Hawaii. Alexander Skarsgaard plays Kitsch's older brother, and Rihanna plays Kitsch's crew mate and a weapons specialist. Pic's produced by Scott Stuber, Berg and Sarah Aubrey, Hasbro's Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir, and Duncan Henderson.

The Parenting Review: It starts off as a fun horror-comedy with a great cast, but loses its charm halfway through. The laughs fade, the scares feel predictable, and by the end, it’s just another forgettable haunted house story.
