Rooney Mara will play computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Sony announced via press release on Monday.
Lovers Anonymous Review: This series reminds us that every concept—even one as extraordinary as this—requires a great story to really connect.
TNS: "Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare takes its Twisted Childhood concept extremely seriously, for better and for worse."
TNS: Ke Huy Quan returned to the spotlight in Everything Everywhere All at Once, but he takes his first starring role in Love Hurts this year.
I'm not really a fan of this choice. Rooney just seems too pretty and "wholesome"/girl next door for this role. I don't know. I don't think she was the best fit. Out of this group I would've much preferred seeing Emily Browning get the role. She would've fit the role much better I think. She looks the part, can be kinda "edgy". Just a better choice. Unless Rooney shows an unseen side of her, then I'm not crazy about the idea.
I really think Evan Rachel Wood would've been able to nail this role well. But in the end I'm much happier that Finch decided to opt for a relative unknown to fill the role.
