First, let's set the record straight. "Avatar" is coming to theaters again on August 27. Director James Cameron was forced to cede 3-D screens to "Alice in Wonderland" earlier in the year, so he wanted to give audiences a chance to catch it again. To make it worth everyone's time, the filmmaker went in and added another nine -- not eight, as the press release originally stated -- minutes of footage to the movie, stuff that didn't make the original final cut. Speaking to MTV's Josh Horowitz last week, Cameron ran through what you can expect to see when the re-cut "Avatar" hits theaters.
Resident Evil is one of the most successful video game to movie adaptations ever, spawning an entire series. Using IMDb ratings, we find the best one.
Sometimes a movie stinks so bad upon its release that directors have a real difficult time escaping it, so much so they end up in director's jail.
"Parthenope" is made for those who use the word cinema as it seeks out to appear like a modern adaptation of a literary classic.
I loved avatar and can't wait to see it again in the theater, but I'm not expecting much from just 9 minutes. Really on film that's already this long, I don't think it'll make a huge difference. I'm just looking forward to seeing it on the big screen again.
