The Other Guys is a Ponzi scheme of a comedy, a buddy action picture cluttered with funny characters and hilarious moments. It’s got Ferrell riffing in full on crazy character mode and a solar system of one-upping supporting players in orbit around him. It’s got over-the-top turns by Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Wahlberg and even Michael Keaton, with Eva Mendes goofing on her va-va-voom image and comic shocks that will make your jaw drop.
How does an action movie like Alarum mess up its action scenes so much?
“One Of Them Days” will either become a single outing or a franchise in Issa Rae and Keke Palmer’s filmographies – depending on how well it does.
