Based on the fake trailer Robert Rodriguez directed for his 2007 film Grindhouse, Machete centers around the character Machete Cortez who after being betrayed by the organization who hired him, launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss. Machete is set for release on September 3, 2010 and stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, and Robert De Niro. IGN has an exclusive “gut-ripping” red band trailer that features Machete killing tons of bad guys in just about every way possible, including using a guy’s intestines as a rope swing to jump out of a window with, yep, that happens.
