We all know about midnight screenings of Showgirls, sing-a-long dress up showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and of course the cult of Ed Wood remains as strong today as it has for decades. But what is it about films that are completely awful by normal standards that gets people together, and more often than not, fills up cinemas more than the latest blockbuster could ever dream of?
Inside Out 2 has got to be the animation movie of the year for me so far. It had everything I wanted from the original and so much more I never could have anticipated. From the very first opening scene with that nostalgic, wholesome piano keys of the theme sound from the first movie, it was like my soul was transported back into the feelings the first movie brought about while bringing me wholly into the world of the sequel.
Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the premiere of Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die with my ride-or-die best mates, and let me tell you, it was one of the most fun cinema experiences of the year! From the quality of the movie to the electrifying vibe of the cinema, everything about the night was extraordinary. The communal laughter, the spontaneous shouting at the screen—it was an experience that almost rivalled having an entire cinema to myself.
