Alex Garland, the writer behind the Danny Boyle-directed movies “28 Days Later …” and “Sunshine,” is in negotiations to tackle “Logan’s Run” for Warner Bros.

Nolan and George Clayton Johnson; it’s the book, which had a greatly expanded world compared to the movie, that the studio and producers Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman are turning to.
