Following the unusual success of remakes as of late, someone thought it would be a great idea to bring back 'Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead', and they're currently searching for writers.
Why does this feel as though I just heard they were remaking The Goonies or Labyrinth. I liked the original with Christina "So Retardedly Hot" Applegate and her stone brother. But I don't think they should be touching it.
It would be like remaking "We Are the World"...oh...yeah, I forgot.
The Goonies and Labyrinth are you serious? They need to avoid 80s movies in general. I don't know if I've sat through all of this movie. Might have. I wish there was some originality once again. Somewhat disheartening
I agree, I wish they could be more original but many of those original thinking directors aren't getting funding. Studios are always going to go with what they think is the sure thing.
It's the pervasive fear that lives inside anyone with money. They want to ensure that somehow they'll get a solid return on their investment. Hence, they don't take chances and they only go with what worked in the past or what is the most bankable. It's a sad state of affairs.
Ha what on earth? I'm still looking forward to The Dark Crystals sequel but of all movies to have a remake of... I watched this back in the day and I'm sure it didn't age well. I just remember petty cash and a big fashion show at the house in the end of the film
You are definitely not alone on waiting for the Dark Crystal movie. I'm just pissed that they took Gendy Tartaskovsky off the project. He was perfect for it.

A goonies remake could be cool, but I think that was a rumor going around because of its 25th anniversary.
why, they dont have any ideas any more all there doing is make movies from 10-30 years ago or its going to have 2,3,4,5,6 be hide it. they suck!!!
