Sequels, especially ‘superhero sequels’ should be by definition, much better than their predecessor. After all, that painstaking origin can be brushed aside, the audience now identifies and knows who the hero is – so technically, the sequel can just let rip… great examples are The Dark Knight, X-Men 2............
