I'd think after how much diversity they threw in with MJ alone, that they wouldn't need to keep going further. But then they made all his friends a virtual melting pot to satisfy every check box. I guess the last thing they had to hit was homosexuality, and why not make Spidey gay? I mean, it makes complete sense within the context of character....for some reason which makes no sense to anyone who has a modicum of common sense. I really didn't have anything against any of the diversity they threw in with his friends, because they were mostly enjoyable characters. Even MJ, despite not really being like the MJ character at all, was entertaining enough, and the actress did a good job for how it was written.

Yeah- but the hell I'd pay for it. On a streaming service maybe down the line or tormented perhaps. But no way would I support such a stupid alteration of the character. I'm unsure about this drive for female led films aswell- black widow, scarlett witch and potentially new female characters are one thing but female thor, female hulk etc basically gender swapping most of the existing mcu is taking it abit far as is thebrunoured enforce women only avengers movie.... that level of sjw nonsense would have to recieve a similar reception from me I think. Equally I would treat a film deliberately teaming up male characters and excluding female ones for a political reason the same way.

This. If they made him gay, they'd have to be able to edit out of those gay scenes or either face having the film banned in multiple countries or given an adult certificate It would make no logical financial sense to make a gay Spidey.
