Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Allowed Toxic Fandom to Win

With the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it's evident that Disney and Lucasfilm caved to the toxic fandom's demands.

No, it didn't because even the fans hate this chimera of a terrible film. The real villain is Rian Johnson who single-handedly destroyed Star Wars and left JJ with nothing to work with, effectively forcing him to create a new storyline from scratch.

Now stop blaming the fans. Not one fan had any influence over this mess

There seems to be people who LOVE the new one. When I ask them. It’s pure fanboyism. They like it cuz Star Wars.

The characters are terrible, the script is awful, the conclusion made a lot of people angry etc.

I keep hearing people loved it but I haven’t met one. When I look online it’s all pure fan service they like.

RoS was amazing. TLJ was terrible filler. Move on.

Eiffel1578d ago

Entire trilogy was trash.

You thought that was amazing? It was like a bad fan service video game fetch quest.

This whole trilogy was a mess.

MIKE from Red Letter " I'm not saying that if you like this movie you have a low IQ, but if you like this movie you have a low IQ"

Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy both can rot in hell. They have NO business managing creating or directing Star Wars.

RoS was actually a great film. Last Jedi is a STAIN on Star Wars. If anyone give Rian a trilogy, god help us. It will be a virtue signaling, minority stuffing, social justice warrior S41T show.

TLJ was fun, so was RoS. Its just Star Wars, it will never be an amazing masterpiece of cinema or anything. It's just a fun popcorn flick series.

UnSelf1578d ago

It doesnt have to be one of the other. Both, a great masterpiece of cinema and a fun popcorn flick can coexist. The reason why i even write the books ive written is to change this notion

Allsystemgamer1578d ago

ANH and ESB are considered to be masterpieces. You’re wrong.
