I heard claims Disney bought movie tickets. This is why the Blu-rays aren't selling as expected in my opinion. Lots of copies at my local BestBuys. I honestly doubt people even bought it from the BestBuys close to me.

i actually enjoyed the movie. what the actress does off camera doesnt matter to me and has no bearing on how i watchor how i enjoy or not enjoy a movie.

This movie was trash because Mar-Vell was original captain marvel, who was a man, in movie...Mar-Vell was also a woman, aside from the fact they destroyed it from the getgo, the movie was lame as hell, period....

It's bombing because Disney bought the box office seats when this movie was in theaters , to push their social justice bullshit agenda, making people think it was an amazing movie by crossing $1 billion; now that it's available for purchase, the REAL sales numbers are showing how truly mediocre this movie really was.

Captain Marvel did well at the box office simply because Marvel was hitting on all cylinders. Plus, there was the hype surrounding the SJW tripe, man vs woman thing going on in the media. What people quickly found out was that the movie is a rather bland, mediocre super hero flick that had little to no bearing on the MCU. Brie Larson, an academy award winning actress, basically mailed it in with a flat performance. What we also found out is that Brie Larson is a feminazi bitch who is rather unlikable. Her costars don't even like her. Therefore, it stands to reason that video sales aren't where Disney would want them to be. I worry about the direction of nearly all Disney franchises, mainly because they are injecting political BS into their stories. Hollywood is so broken!

What did you enjoy about the movie? I am a Captain Marvel fan, well more Ms Marvel fan. That was not Carol Danvers on that screen. That was the actress. Her performance was wooden not heroic. No charisma. As a comic book nerd/snob I knew I wasn't going to get a perfect translation, but they changed everything. There was nothing original story wise. The action scenes were well done but that's easy with today's tech. Amnesiac hero unlocks hidden power. Why didn't they try? I was very dissapointed. I noticed no Captain Marvel 2. Disney went with the easy cash grab.

Because it didn't make that much real money at the domestic box office. I saw a video where some people started researching theaters around the country and found, in over a 1000 examples where the front rows were completely sold out. Upon inquiry, they discovered a "group" that was buying tickets for under privileged girls to see the movie.
When they sent operatives in to some theatres they discovered, in every case, empty seats. Of course, not a 1000 but the handful they could investigate.
I saw the movie 3 days after opening and there were 8 people in the room. When I bought my tickets online there were only 20 seats available. There are dozens of videos on YouTube of people experiencing the same thing.
The merch not selling is a tale tale sign the movie wasn't the cash cow Disney pretended it to be.
