This is actually very insulting to me and its extremely lazy because Hollywood seems to be incapable of creating stand alone POC characters.

This is actually what I think as well. I'm not completely opposed to "retroactively" inserting some inclusion if it somewhat fits (some character can resurrect as different people, is a shapeshifter, has a never-mentioned-before life partner that fits his or her background). OK, whatever, I get it that back then it was a bit difficult do breakout of the usual white character. But why instead of that simply not create new ones that are actually not just tokens? We are not "back then" anymore.

This happens all the time and other races have been complaining about this on historical movies as well as many others. This is a cartoon so I dont really think it matters. If people are that upset over this then go back and look at the countless movies that are white washed.

Well you cant compare old movies being white washed to this. Those so called white washed movies were all original white characters. Race switching is completely different. And the problem is it could only go one way and that's removing white but never the other way around. They could easily create other race characters along side original.

You guys realllyyyy! Dont understand where the impact lies with these 'race swaps' It's actually hilarious how short sighted and simple you think this situation is! THAT'S the issue!

Why is anyone even upset? The Disney live action films are terrible cash grabs. Don't try to budge the agenda, just don't support it.
