In comparison to all the other MCU movies Marvel even admitted Captain Marvel didn't perform in the box office nearly as well as they thought it would. I suppose "tank" was a bit harsh, but when you're claiming you should be making more than Robert Downy Jr, you might want to bring the same amount of success to back it up. Doing a couple indy LGBTXYZ movies isn't really comparable. The point I'm trying to get at is most movie goers dont like Brie Larson. Instead of taking the role of Captain Marvel and having fun with it, she is using the character to force political ideology into the character that no one really wants. Especially in China which is the #1 drive for the international box office sales.
