Hmm, I can agree with some of the points. Not many of them, mind :P The main beats of the story I could live with but the journey to get there was far too rushed, and that sullied the excellent 7(ish) seasons before it.

FTLmaster1806d ago

I agree, it did feel quite rushed. Wish this season had an extra few episodes to flesh out some of the plot-points, Daenerys’ in particular.

TricksterArrow1806d ago

There is no defence. The plot points are fine, the writting and character development though, were atrocious.

BlahBlahWhatever1806d ago

You can't defend how they choose to conclude the story, the last episode literally ruin the whole series & this is/will be the reason the rating drop/is going to drop further in the future & for years to come, it's not coincidence that since the last episode air BB surpass GoT in IMDb.

Why did Bran become King when he says 3 words a day and set up the events that burned king's landing. Why the hell is Sansa gonna demand an independent North when her brother is already king? What was the point in Jon being a Targaryen? Why is Bronn the lord of Highgarden for threatening Tyrion's life? So many things that make no sense and betray the logic of the series.

SephirothX211806d ago

He became king because he woudln't be having children so the next in line would be determined by a vote between the six kingdoms and the fact he can see the past and is the heir to House Stark.
Sansa wanted an independent North because it would please the Northerners and Bran won't always be King so it provided better security for the North in the future.
The point of Jon being a Targaryen was to destabilize Dany and unveil what she was capable of. It also was the reason for her demise because Jon could not trust his family would be safe if she ruled as he was the true heir to the throne.
Tyrion promised Bronn Highgarden in exchange for his and Jamie's lives at Winterfell.
