Yeah I have a 2018 75 inch Samsung 4K HDR TV that was calibrated by geek squad and even I had a hard time seeing some things in that episode. It was clearly too dark regardless of their reasons why it’s just a fact.
Yea no sorry, im sure as a cinematographer that you'll want to defend the footage until it's beaten to death but I've got some pretty darned great equipment in my entertainment system and I know how to calibrate it, soooo.

Sorry bud, I calibrated TVs professionally for years. I personally tuned mine to standard within 99% (can never get 100% due to each TV being different) using light meters etc.
Still couldn’t see shit.
