Bird Box Review | Geekisphere

When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain -- if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they'll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them -- and complete the trip blindfolded.

This movie started out great, I liked the 1st hour of this movie, but it died out after that hour. The ending was very disappointing imo, and I say that cause there was never an explanation on how or why it all started...

Completely agree, that ending was a huge disappointment. We could foresee what was coming about an hour before the film ended, and it didn't close anything for the story. I mean...are humans now needing to "de-volve" and become blind in order to survive?

I don't think much money was put into it, certainly not on the level of A Quiet Place. Sandra was good but I did not like the character.

I'm not as harsh, I'd give it a 6/10.

Well.. I liked it.. 9/10

Nice set up for a prequel or sequel..

how the HELLLL could a prequel work!!? loooooooooooooooool

JohnHeatz1942d ago

Literally, the "prequel" is within the story since it relies on flashbacks. The only way I can think of a different prequel would be in Russia, where -apparently- it all started. I still can't see either a prequel or sequel happening though.

I think the main reason people liked this movie was the price tag, $0 with netflix sub. i couldnt stand it, felt like the movie had no direction, no bad guy, and ideas that didnt seem to mesh together. glad for those that enjoyed it, seems like a popular fade.

Boring movie overall imo.

It had its moments, but I wanted it to end after the first 40-ish minutes.
