And not even because of the things in it (the sharks, the barracuda, the sharktopuses). Bigger than a kaiju, more emotionless than a Terminator, it can’t be bargained with, it can’t be reasoned with and, when you scan the horizon and there’s no land in sight, it can seem as though it absolutely does not stop, ever.
