It looks like in the efforts of trying to make Rey look strong, and like an independent woman who does not depend on a man for survival, they made her extra strong. They changed her into a Mary Sue helping her beat up Ren, a trained student of the force. This guy was stronger than Rey, and she should not be able to overwhelm him with her force ability. It is ridiculous for her to spar with Ren. Ren stopped a laser with force, something that not even Jedi masters could do.
They set a high bar of Rey's ability which eliminates all the excitement and drama from future movies. This is because people already know that with those kind of capabilities, she can get out of whatever situation and hold herself against any man, which kills the sense of excitement and curiosity. Feminism is ruining it since the only person expected to save her will be a fellow woman. This is not a good quality for the future films.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
