Some might see this as Fargo's weakest run to date, but even Fargo at half-mast can make for exceptional TV. Truth be told, and despite the inclusion of a Season 1 character toward the end, this was Fargo's first stab at a standalone saga - if you consider the seeds of the first two seasons. It took a while to build up steam, but once the hammer dropped midway through, some fantastic and surreal elements kicked in, characters began to feel genuine instead of flat, and some devastating sequences delivered a superb story.
