Baltasar Kormakur, who tackled the people vs. nature theme in Everest, is attached to direct the project, which is based on the true story of a woman who sets off on a sailing trip to Tahiti with her fiance. But after a massive storm, the woman finds herself alone at sea with her boat in ruins. The story, which toggles between the couple's past courtship and the perilous present, follows her attempts to save herself and the man she loves on a 1,500-mile journey to Hawaii.
