“Colossal” follows Gloria (Anne Hathaway), a writer battling personal demons who gets dumped by her boyfriend Tim at the start of the film. She decides to move home to save some money and runs into Oscar (Jason Sudeikis), a childhood friend who offers her a job at his bar. She begins to bond with him and his friends, carving out a life for herself in a place she never expected to return to. So far it’s pretty basic indie movie fare.
