This week, on TVEnthusiast's The Weekly Set podcast, Will and Tyson talk about the CW's Archie adaptation Riverdale, as well as SyFy's The Magicians and FX's Taboo. Before that, though, Tyson runs down his impressions of new shows Legion, Imposters, 24: Legacy, The Santa Clarita Diet, and Powerless, as well as new seasons for The Expanse and The 100. Spoiler alert, Legion is awesome. On to the main topics of the show, Riverdale continues to be strong, but Tyson feels like it has lost some of its charm, Taboo is still killing it as Tom Hardy continues his intimidating presence, and The Magicians delivered one hell of an eventful episode.
The Weekly Set is TVEnthusiast’s weekly podcast. Every week, barring few exceptions, Will and Tyson gather to talk about what they have been watching, TV relevant news, and whatever else strikes their fancy.
Ashley Madison-Sex Lies and Scandal Review: The documentary refuses to take a stand on whether or not it wants us to feel bad for cheaters, infuriating viewers with its wishy washy attitude.
Outer Range Season 2 Review: This season is as insane and slow as the last part and doesn't attempt to answer any questions, while adding on to those of the last one.
Monster Review: While this film delivers elements of horror and thriller, they're only sporadically effective, leaving the overall experience falling short of expectations.
