Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017) Review | FilmGamesEtc

FGE - This is what it looks like when a movie series is forced to swerve and hit a brick wall when it had very little direction to begin with. When contained within this one movie, the story makes only a little more sense than if you had seen all the movies that came before this. I have seen all of the movies that came before and it became extremely apparent early on that writer and director Paul W.S. Anderson did not have a coherent plan for this series that continued for almost 15 years and served as a vehicle for his wife, Milla Jovovich, to star in. The biggest problem with the original was that it had very little to do with Resident Evil and simply took random names and elements from the game series to make its own thing.
