EB: The Assassin’s Creed film has been out in the field for a few weeks now, and if you are familiar with the video game franchise it is based on, you may find some enjoyment it what it has to offer. For a video game movie it actually honors the game world quite well, and is a decent flick, so considering the curse of video game adapted films, I felt that Assassin’s Creed broke free of it. Now, that’s not saying much, we’re still talking about a live-action film version of a video game, but thanks to the cast, which is led by Michael Fassbender, I found the relatively chaotic plot to be mindlessly enjoyable.
