The Strain is following a pretty clear trend this season, as it delivered another generally solid episode weighed down by one obnoxious subplot. On the plus side, it's always a pleasure to see Eichorst in the spotlight, and the general unease and malaise in the aftermath of the Master's death yielded some good drama. On the bad side, Dutch continues to be the show's most annoying character, and it's looking as though she's about to drag Eph down with her.
