He would have been bloated from steroid use during WWE. I'd suggest use of steroids is much more common in wrestling as its much more about aesthetics and showmanship. Using drugs in competitive sport is not OK though. The consequences should be severe.

MrsNesbitt2836d ago

Glaringly obvious they are all using in WWE, no way they get that way naturally. I would think the UFC will impose a punishment but to what extent in Lesnar's case will be an interesting one to see

zcmilano2835d ago

Taking short cuts to get into shape isnt a good look. It's always a shame to see a big sports figure ban, but in this case UFC need to make a stand. The sport is just beginning to be taken seriously and accepted, they need to deal with this carefully.

kevnb2835d ago

Nobody else looks like Lesnar in wwe these days.

lodossrage2835d ago

@kevnb

Not just these days. Remember Lesnar's first WWE run? He was even BIGGER back then. Just go on Youtube and look at how jacked he was back then.

But the WWE always played favorites even when it comes to that BS "wellness policy". So it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to think they let certain people such as Lesnar, Cena, Batista, etc get a free pass. I mean for christ sake, the wellness policy was "altered" because Randy Orton couldn't even keep himself out of trouble.

lol are you stuck on early 00's? The efforts wrestling needs you to do is way crazier than MMA! That's why wrestling guys are always a wildcard when going to MMA, because their cardio is always great. Wrestling might not be a competitive sports, but clearly isnt the same thing you think you knew about 10 years ago

SynestheticRoar2835d ago

This guy been juicing more than half his life.

lodossrage2835d ago

What annoys me about this is that people try to defend what this guy did. I remember someone said "Mark Hunt should mind his business because it doesn't concern him".

When I read that I couldn't believe the foolishness of that phrase. Mark Hunt took a BEATING potentially because of Lesnar's drug use. How could it NOT be Hunt's business?

Then there's the glaring fact the UFC would have let this go. Think about it, Lesnar willingly took the drug test. That's good on him. BUT, the UFC has a rule that certain people doing "one offs" could bypass the drug test. THAT rule right there needs to be done away with. If this situation does ANYTHING, it should be getting rid of that VERY UNFAIR rule.

MrsNesbitt2835d ago

I hope the fight doesn't count and Mark Hunts record should not be affected. I even think he should return that cool 2.5 million Lesnar got for his troubles -.-

lodossrage2834d ago

Unfortunately, even if they did reverse it, in this day and age, the fact that Mark Hunt lost won't ever be forgotten via the internet age, youtube, etc. Record wise, they SHOULD at the very least make it as though the fight never happened.

I kinda agree about him giving back the money like you're saying. Look at it this way, had these results been known BEFORE the fight, the match would have never happened, just like Jon Jones. So he wouldn't have gotten paid.

Legally however, I'm not sure the UFC can even make him do that though because they allowed the fight to happened without having the results first. In that regard, the fault is on the UFC, not Lesnar.

slasaru012835d ago

Guys, just look at him. He is steroid monster. What "assumptions" could there be ?

ps360s2835d ago

He may be using steriods but in no means a steriods monster!

He has strength and speed to prove that plus he does some crazy weight lifting! lol

Artemidorus2834d ago

Many people in the fighting game use a form of roids, it strengthens and repairs you quickly and if you put the hard work in, you will see the gains if be size, strength, both.

I say create a sport for it, and the naturals can keep their own argument and credentials.
