10 Cloverfield Lane isn't your typical sequel. It seems to only follow the original film in name alone, telling its own story with completely different characters. This might seem disappointing at first except for the fact that this film's story is even more engaging than the first and is also superbly acted. From scene one, this movies hits the ground running with a beautiful opening sequence filled with one of the best scores in recent memory (thanks to Bear McCreary).
