When Orange Is The New Black first debuted on July 11, 2013 on Netflix, the Jenji Kohan-created series based on Piper Kerman’s 2010 memoir was a pioneer in a new wave of what we still call television. Three years and several seasons later, the Emmy- and SAG Award-winning prison-set show is back for its fourth season with 13 episodes launching June 17 – and to paraphrase Taylor Schilling’s Piper Chapman, “this is not other people’s sh*t.”
