FGE - Alice Through the Looking Glass is the sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 Alice in Wonderland. As with its predecessor, this new trek into Wonderland is only loosely based on the book for which it was named. There are various elements throughout the story that call back to the novel, but those are mere footnotes with respect to the main plot of the film. That’s not to say that the story is bad, but rather that it may not be what people are expecting to see. Most of the cast of characters from the first film return to reprise their roles and we are introduced to some very interesting new ones as well. One of the most noteworthy returns is that of the late Alan Rickman, lending his voice to Absolem, the blue caterpillar/butterfly in what will be his final role on the silver screen.
