Gaming Boulevard watched the upcoming Ratchet and Clank movie and decided:
Ratchet and Clank isn't Doom bad or Street Fighter bad. I wouldn't call it bad. It's just that I wouldn't call it good necessarily. It's watchable, kids will certainly enjoy it but fans won't. It's this kind of movie that will just exist in the void between awful video game movies and the very few video game inspired movies that work. At the end of the day, Ratchet and Clank is doomed to disappear and never be mentioned again. Too good to be in the awful category and too bad to be notable.
Speak No Evil is a bone-chilling experience, one of the only films in recent memory that can make even the most ordinary poolside and family holiday moments feel ominous and haunting, you will not forget this one. It will stay with you way past watching the film. Speak No Evil is not for the faint of heart, especially if you have children, James McAvoy's performance is spectacular at making you feel uneasy and makes this a must-watch psychological thriller.

The thing I hated about the film is that it can't stand on it's own. If you played the recent reboot most of the cutscenes are made from the movie. While watching the film it felt like gameplay had to fill in a certain role since the movie didn't have much depth to the action sequences. This could've been miles better if they were to merge the fun action sequences from the gameplay to the ones found in the movie. The jokes were pretty lackluster as well. They tried too hard to be funny. All in all it was an ok adaptation. Hopefully they can nail it with the sly cooper adaptation.
