I still can't stop watching this show. It's incredible.

lololololololol I thought this was satire at first, the final season and the ending was the biggest piece of shit in TV history. Wow.

Haha, yeah I thought maybe this was going to be a more compelling argument than the standard "it was about the characters all along derp derp!" That was the biggest copout then, and it's the biggest copout now.

There was (and is) an endless sea of dramas I could have been watching back then if all I wanted was a show about the day-to-day melodrama between the cast. What set the show apart initially was the mysterious context in which the characters were placed, but the writers at some point decided that they didn't really need that context anymore because dammit "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CHARACTERS herpa derpa doodly doo!"

It is sad to see that people are softening to the stupidity of that excuse.

@cobberwebb yes it was the biggest disappointment in tv history. Up there with the dream sequence in dallas. I loved lost and loved locke but the just ruined it :(

Lord_Sloth2979d ago

While some things in the last season I didn't care for (the fate of Locke for example) I liked the ending.

The thing about Lost that I could never get over is how long it takes to arrive at what is already a forgone conclusion. I'm not sure if all of the shenagigans really enhanced the ending as much as they padded the series. The film 'The Quiet Earth' is a much better take on a similar story, and if I didn't know any better I would think the writers were heavily influenced by it.
