It’s hard enough to maintain the quality of a movie in a direct sequel, but with more than 10 years between “Barbershop: The Next Cut” and the last spin-off in the “Barbershop” series, odds weren’t great. However, with most of the cast returning and a few new, star-studded additions, the film is able to reassert itself in the modern age while simultaneously keeping the old heart of the first film alive.
Looks like a rental, but a funny one at that.
