IGN: While last week's Vinyl went a bit heavy on the gimmickry, it was still my favorite episode to date. Mostly because it held a clearer focus and more or less settled in on one main story - that of Richie's spiral. This week's episode, "The King and I," also sort of held onto this concept of streamlining things and telling one bigger story instead of unleashing a bunch of smaller stories filled with the usual bluster and bravado. There's a good ensemble here, but the show works best when it hones in on some instead of all.
