I really wanted to like the film, but I was disappointed.

thekhurg2951d ago

I was impressed. They had a short amount of time to introduce a lot of characters and they did it well.

As skillful as Marvel??? LOL Marvel only has 2 Great movies Iron Man 1 and Avengers

darren_poolies2951d ago

I thought Avengers was bang average tbh. Marvels only two great movies are Iron Man and Cap 2, and I enjoyed this way more than either of those.

Avengers
Guardians
Iron Man
Winter Soldier
Ant Man

Even the others are average and are better then most of the crap released to day.

Only one I've really hated is Iron Man 3...ruining the Mandarin build up over the past two Iron Man films.

Avengers had a great script and characterization. I thought Joss Whedon did a brilliant job with how these big superheroes interacted with each other, but the story wasn't as great, it all got jumbled up in the second half of the movie.

Guardians was really funny and also had a good script, but the story was terrible. I don't understand why it wasn't penalized for having a shitty cheesy villain, and a shitty conclusion. It didn't have much other than comedy.

I feel the same way about the rest of them. In fact I'm getting real tired of the lack of consistency in all these Marvel/DC movies. Most of the movie is just building up the "origin" story, a bunch of cameos are thrown in with new characters from the universe, and everybody loses their shit, except nothing really happens after that.

This was the case with Batman vs Superman too. The first half was expertly done, I was so impressed. Then everything built up in the story was just dismissed the second half.

They're all set ups for a bigger Avengers/Justice league type movie, which as we saw from Avengers, ends up having too many characters to give attention to. Nothing eventful really happens.

Thought it was pretty awesome, had a few nitpicks and it wasn't perfect, but it was a good comic book movie

DragoonsScaleLegends2952d ago

"good", most of the critics think it's the worst comic book movie ever made.

hirobrotagonist2952d ago

which is hilarious, because the list of comic movies that are much worse is actually ridiculously long

WitWolfy2951d ago

Those idiots never saw real steel then. Batman vs superman was awesome sure it wqs slow at first but it was awesome to me.

RufustheKing2951d ago

It wasn't really great but it curtainly wasn't bad.7/10 Cant wait to see the R rated version in july.

Kreisen2951d ago

I definitly expected more from it. Getting rid of Snyder would certainly be a step in the right direction. The guy seems lost when it comes to doing anything but huge action scenes.
