London Has Fallen (2016) Review | FilmGamesEtc

FGE - For me, there was something relatively unique about 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen,that was until a few months later when Channing Tatum’s White House Down released with almost an identical premise. Until that faithful day though, I appreciated Olympus Has Fallen’s attempt to revive the one-man-action genre singlehandedly, in which an unlikely hero was suddenly tasked with overcoming the odds to save the things he cares most about. Despite some overly excessive patriotism sprinkled throughout, the film was focussed, relatively believable and delivered on its premise. All factors that its 2016 sequel, London Has Fallen, fails to do on almost every level.
