Like the series finale would be a group of survivors around a camp fire with a woman telling her story (everything we've seen) about her dad and his survivors. Then you find out it's actually Judith with her people.

If you HAVE to keep Carl alive then it should show you him as a rival group much like the Governor and how he is at war with his sister.

Actually he was aiming at Rick and trying to kill him before he died. Because he seen is dumb brother get himself and there mother killed and he blames him for everything as well as his father death. Kinda carols fault for putting that stuff in his head making him get scared and got his whole family killed and Carl shot.
