What Culture | 'Deadpool' Review

I envisioned Deadpool being the movie that would resolutely show all these naysayers wrong. Loosely set in the same continuity as Singer’s original game-changer, it was going to provide a new lease of life to the genre; with an R-rating we’d get a superhero with a violent, rude and perverse edge. It would bring to life a comic book character so comic booky his defining trait is breaking the mould of comic books. It was, put simply, going to be the movie that broke with the hard-set convention.
