Jonas Cuaron, the co-writer of Gravity has just come on board to write and director a new Zorro film called Z! Cuaron recently wrote and directed Desierto which won the International Critics’ Award at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and is slated for release this spring by STX. Lantica Media and Sobini films are producing Z.

In a world ruled by Batman and where the Western is dead or dying, it's hard to imagine that Zorro could take off again. Maybe it'll take a Cuaron to do it. Let me see the cast first, though.
Zorro could be great if done right. "The Mask Of Zorro" held a perfect balance of everything. My worry is this "Z" will get heavily stylized and over the top with CGI.
