It's official: HBO's Girls is coming to its natural conclusion.
The premium cable network used its time Thursday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour to formally announce that Girls has been renewed for a sixth and final season. The news comes as little surprise after word leaked Monday that the comedy starring and created by Lena Dunham would conclude after season six in 2017.
