Interesting. And I bet that the First Jedi Temple is only among many temples the new expanded universe could uncover.

Its Earth, Skellig Island, off the coast of Ireland..... Kinda ruined the end for me, knowing that place was not in a galaxy far far away.......

This kind of rips a big hole into the story. If it is the location of the first temple, wouldn't more people know about it? Wouldn't more people be looking for it? Especially since Luke has vanished?

I don't understand why the first temple was just wiped from existence with no relevance to anyone?

I've let "The Force Awakens" sink in a bit since watching it, and I'm starting to think it's going to become somewhat forgettable in the long-run. There were some great character additions and Harrison Ford delivered a major portion of excitement when watching the movie (ie. being excited to see old faces again), but after comparing it to the old movies (all 6 of them), The Force Awakens feels like it was lacking in imagination. The designs relied so heavily on the original trilogy. I mean, they made a bigger Death Star, and X-Wing fighters and the Millennium Falcon all returned and were once again the stars. Say what you will about the prequel trilogy, it offered new creations and visual landscapes. In the time that's passed in the galaxy since the events of the original trilogy, you would think more would have changed. I think the movie is still fun to watch and I enjoyed it, but I do hope the next one tries to take some more risks and go down newer roads.

Civil War (2024) Movie Review

In a movie that largely sidesteps what the war is about, “Civil War” puts us in the point of view of journalists who make it clear there are no heroes in war, just dead bodies.
