Variety: IFC has canceled hockey comedy “Benders,” Variety has confirmed.
The series, which was produced by Denis Leary’s Apostle shingle, was created by Leary’s longtime producing partner, Jim Serpico, and Tom Sellitti. It starred Andrew Schulz, Chris Distefano and Mark Gessner as hockey-obsessed friends who play on an amateur team called the Chubbys.
