Kylo Ren Is Everything That Anakin Skywalker Should Have Been

i09

Kylo Ren had a huge legacy to live up to in the new Star Wars, because Darth Vader is one of cinema’s all-time great villains. But Vader’s legacy is also a huge part of what makes Kylo Ren so fascinating—because he’s everything that Anakin Skywalker should have been in the prequels.

I would like an alternate ending that goes like this.....Poe destroys the generator thing that keeps the Starkiller from ripping itself apart but its still not enough to destroy it. It fires one huge beam at General Leias planet and everyone thinks that the Empire won and they are about to die. Luke shows up outta nowhere in a spaceship and force freezes, then pushes, that huge frickin beam right back at the Starkiller Base, blowing it up. How awesome would that have been, Ami right?

Kylo Ren was great in the start of the movie but ended up as a lame emo

the whole movie came apart at the final

a janitor fights a dark Jedi using a light-saber like a pro without the force

Ray just switches the force on and becomes a Jedi master

the writers used the same plot as a New Hope just with different characters

I really liked him at the start until he started to throw temper tantrums like a little kid.

None of the villains were good to be honest.

Its a good movie overall but not great or excellent.

I understand they wanted to use the original formula but please not 95% of it.

I really hoped JJ would add something to it but he literally didn't.

It is a trilogy, he is basically a kid, his character will be much different as the episodes progress

I liked that tempter tantrum side to him, it made him look unstable. As he basically looks like a manlet in the movie, it does look a bit childish but imagine that unstable side combined with the power of say Vader, I think it'll work very well.

Agree. I never thought child when I saw the tantrums. I thought unstable/unhinged. This is the first time we have seen a character fight back the light to go dark....

P.S. I loved all the tantrums, lol.

He sure ain't not afraid of a lil' sand...

Emo wannabe darth vader with daddy issues. I can see he is young and undertrained and yet to develop but he just came off as weak. I still believe rei is Luke's daughter.

Qrphe3057d ago

Rey is a biological clone of Anakin along with some of the rest of Luke's students that Ben killed off. Luke rescued them from the Empire's labs during the fall.

I'm no expert in the Star Wars universe but where did you get this information? So your telling me luke doesn't have any children? And she's so powerful because she's a clone of leias son?
