I just noticed that EVERY trailer, especially these super hero movies have some kind of panning shot over a city and then fades.

Because these movies are larger and life and you have to pan to show the large-scale destruction... or else we just have bad guys dressed up funny in a Die Hard movie.

Just watched the Tarzan trailer and it also opens with an overhead shot of a forest then fades out.

Time for these blockbuster summer movies to start doing something different with their trailers.

Every big blocbuster film does that, it's a way to let the audience know the location while setting it up as I learnt. Always comes off lazy and generic in my opinion

It's why I like Edgar Wright films like Shaun of the Dead or The Worlds End

Yea, it has become extremely noticeable how every trailer is the same.

I'm not asking for some dramatic change but this is starting to get ridiculous.
