Deadline: Dreamgirls star and The Good Wife regular Anika Noni Rose is joining the cast of Starz drama series Power for a multi-episode arc. She plays LaVerne Thomas, a streetwise cop from the neighborhood where Ghost and Tommy grew up. Rose recently wrapped filming the role of Kizzy in the A&E miniseries reboot of Roots with Forest Whitaker. She’s best known for her role as Princess Tiana in The Princess And The Frog and Lorell in the film adaptation of Dreamgirls.
