Variety: Universal-Legendary’s holiday horror-comedy “Krampus” is making merry as the only major new release for the weekend, having pulled in $6 million on Friday for an estimated weekend haul of $15 million, according to Saturday forecasts.
“Krampus,” unspooling in 2,902 U.S. locations, finished Friday in first place ahead of early estimates, tying a bow on Universal’s already gigantic 2015. Adam Scott and Toni Collette star in the comedic thriller about the horned beast of European folklore who punishes naughty children around Christmastime.
